about
Jaime-Kánan McPherson is a photographic artist who specialises in commercial photography based in Melbourne. She graduated a Bachelor’s Degree at PSC (Photography Studies College) in 2024 and her focus is to reveal more underlying styles through both commercial and fine arts to create an unearthly feeling to her work.
Throughout her time at PSC, Jaime-Kánan has developed a distinctive visual style. In 2024, she culminated in a graduate folio that confidently brings a dark aesthetic into the commercial photography space with sophistication. Her latest series - ‘Oscuro’ draws on gothic and grunge-inspired fashion, using dramatic lighting and expressive poses to explore the strength and complexity found in shadow. The work challenges conventional beauty standards, offering a powerful celebration of individuality and difference.
After finishing her studies, she is currently a casual freelancer who is willing to shoot anything from a small business, weddings or just intimate portraits. If you enquire a specific concept please reach out via contact page or the social media icons in the welcome page.
